Campaign Story
In this project, we will discuss the innovative proposal to repurpose this land located at 15105 6th St, Moreno Valley, CA 92551, originally slated for demolition, into a vibrant community space. The transformation aims to establish a community garden, farm, and host regular farmers markets to enhance access to healthy, organic produce within our community.
Project Goals
- Community Empowerment: Transform the space into a communal space that empowers residents through educational programs, hands-on experiences, and a sense of shared ownership in sustainable food practices.
- Access to Healthy Food: Create a local source of fresh, organic produce through the establishment of a community garden and farm. This will address food deserts and ensure that everyone in the community has access to nutritious food options.
- Economic Opportunities: Foster local economic development by supporting small-scale farming initiatives, providing opportunities for local vendors at the farmers market, and potentially creating employment opportunities.
- Educational Programs: Implement educational programs within the community hub to promote sustainable agricultural practices, healthy eating habits, and overall well-being.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate a sense of community by hosting various activities such as workshops, events, and a farmers market that not only provide access to healthy food but also encourage social interaction and community engagement.
